Matthew Bessen, M.D.

Matthew Bessen, M.D., cardiologist, graduated from Chicago Medical School in 1982 and completed his internal medicine residency in 1985 at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta. Dr. Bessen then completed his cardiology fellowship in 1988 at the University of California in Irvine.

Dr. Bessen is board-certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners, the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Internal Medicine for Cardiology.

Dr. Bessen is a Fellow with the American College of Cardiology, and is a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association and the Greater Louisville Medical Society. In addition, Dr. Bessen has served on various boards and committees including the Quality Assurance Committee at Jewish Hospital and the Jewish Hospital Heart and Lung Institute Advisory Board.
